Growth hormone & performance
CJC-1295
An analog of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (also called Mod GRF 1-29) that boosts the body’s own growth-hormone pulses.
The human trials used the long-acting DAC version. This reference protocol is for the version without DAC.
How it works
A modified version of the first 29 amino acids of GHRH that resists breakdown. It triggers a short pulse of growth hormone from the pituitary.
What it is used for
Raising GH and IGF-1 for body composition, recovery and sleep. It is usually combined with a GHRP such as ipamorelin.
What the evidence says
The version without DAC has no published human trials. The DAC version raised GH and IGF-1 for several days in healthy adults.
Side effects and cautions
Flushing, headache, water retention and tingling. It raises IGF-1 (avoid with active cancer) and can raise blood sugar.
Half-life
About 30 minutes (vendor estimate)
Makes sense for
- Adults with low GH or IGF-1 looking for body composition, recovery or sleep support
Does not make sense for
- Active cancer or a history of cancer
- Diabetes or prediabetes
Boost the effect
- Inject on an empty stomach (2 hours after eating, no food for 30 minutes after): sugar and fat blunt the growth-hormone release
- Evening dose before bed and deep sleep: most growth hormone is released in deep sleep
- Enough protein: growth hormone needs building material to work on
